Tracing Worksheets

Tracing worksheets can be a helpful tool for young children who are learning how to write. By tracing lines, children can develop their fine motor skills.

This pack contains a variety of tracing pages including tracing lines, letters, and words.

Count and Color Worksheet

Children will identify the number at the beginning of each row and color the appropriate number of ocean animals.

Alphabet Worksheets

Children will search for the featured letter among a grid of similarly shaped letters. Then, they’ll trace capital letters, lowercase letters, and a complete sentence. This pack includes F is for fish, C is for crab, and W is for whale.

Snap cubes:

I suggest printing these pages on cardstock and laminating for durability. Have children use snap cubes to build the ocean animals.

Then, use a dry erase marker to circle the items that begin with the same sound.

Graphing Practice

Print and assemble the dice. Roll the dice and color one box in the appropriate column. Continue until one column reaches the top.

Beginning Sounds

Identify the animals on the page focusing on the beginning sound of each one. Cut and paste the appropriate letter in each box.

Find and Count

This worksheet is a great one for working on visual discrimination and counting. Children will find and color each animal. Count them, and write the number in the box.
