Materials
- Smooth flat stones (collected from nature or purchased)
- White pencil or regular pencil depending on the stone color
- Paint pens or acrylic paints with thin paint brushes
- Black Sharpie or paint pen for outlining
- Matte Mod Podge optional for sealing
Instructions
- Prepare the Stones: Wash and dry the stones thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris that might prevent the paint from adhering correctly.
- Sketch Your Designs: Lightly draw simple Christmas-themed images on each stone using a pencil. Ideas include Christmas trees, stars, presents, snowflakes, or festive animals.
- Paint the Designs: Fill in your sketches with vibrant colors using paint pens or acrylic paints. Allow the paint to dry completely.
- Outline the Images: Once the paint is dry, use a black Sharpie or paint pen to outline the images, adding definition and detail.
- Seal the Stones (Optional): To protect your artwork and ensure durability, apply a coat of matte Mod Podge over each stone. Let them dry thoroughly before use.
