Materials

  • 2 plain white paper plates
  • colored construction paper
  • 2 googly eyes
  • black marker
  • pink marker or crayon
  • 1 cotton ball

Instructions

  • Use a pencil to trace a circle around the inside smallest circle in the center of the paper plate; cut the traced circle out.
  • NOTE: Keep these paper plate edge scraps for the ears!
  • Next, use your pencil to draw another circle about an inch larger than the outside of the smallest circle in the center of the paper plate; cut the traced circle out.
  • Lay your colored construction paper piece down ,and place your two circles about an inch from the left side of the paper and have them slightly overlapping each other.
  • Use your pencil to trace outside the right sides of the plates in the shape of a capital letter B.
  • Cut off excess on the right side of the colored construction paper.
  • Glue your paper plates onto the B-shaped construction paper.
  • Draw and cut out two ears from your paper plate edge scraps. To make sure they’re even, make one, cut it out, then use it as a stencil for the second ear.
  • Draw and cut out two slightly smaller inner ear shapes using pink construction paper; glue onto the ears and then glue the final ears onto your bunny’s head.
  • Glue googly eyes a bit above the center of the bunny’s head.
  • Using a black marker, draw a nose, mouth and whiskers on the bunny.
  • Color in the nose and make freckles around the whiskers with a pink marker.
  • Use your black marker to trace around the entire outside of the bunny.
  • Glue a small cotton ball onto the bottom right edge of the big white plate portion for a tail and your bunny is complete.
