Materials

  • Three Paper Plates
  • Black and Red Paint
  • Red Black, Yellow, and White Construction Paper
  • Cotton Balls
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Instructions

  • Start by cutting the centers out of two paper plates.
  • Take a third plate and paint the top half black and the bottom half red to create Mickey’s face and Santa’s suit.
  • Paint the two smaller plate centers black as well; these will become Mickey’s ears. Let everything dry completely.
  • Once dry, glue the two small black circles to the back of the main plate on the black-painted side for Mickey’s ears.
  • While the glue is drying, cut out the following shapes:
A long black rectangle for Mickey’s belt.
A yellow square, sized to fit over the black rectangle as the belt buckle.
A red hat shape that fits between Mickey’s ears.
A long white rectangle to go across the bottom of the hat.
A small white circle for the tip of the hat.
  • Glue the black rectangle across the center of the plate, where the red and black meet, and place the yellow square in the center of the black rectangle for the belt buckle.
  • Next, glue the white rectangle horizontally across the plate between Mickey’s ears. Attach the red hat shape to this white band, and place the small white circle at the tip of the hat.
  • For a finishing touch, add cotton balls to the white band and the top of the hat for extra fluff, making it look just like Santa’s!
