Equipment

  • Piping Bag

Materials

  • 1 package of graham crackers
  • 1 package of edible Easter grass
  • 1 package of Peeps Chicks any flavor
  • 6-8 ounces of Wilton Chocolate Melts color of your choice
  • Easter candy eggs chocolate or jelly beans

Instructions

  • 1. Break the graham crackers in half. You’ll need 5 halves for each Easter Peeps house.
  • 2. Melt the chocolate melts according to package directions. Put the melted chocolate into a small plastic bag or piping bag.
  • 3. Lay a graham cracker half down, and pipe a line of chocolate on each side of a graham cracker half. Stand a graham cracker half on each line of chocolate. Hold them until the chocolate sets – about a minute or so.
  • 4. Next, pipe a line of chocolate on top of the two crackers that are standing upright. Then, take 2 more halves and place each one on the chocolate. Bend them toward each other so they touch at the top like a roof. Hold them for a minute or two so the chocolate sets.
  • 5. Then, pipe a thick line of chocolate right on the crack where the two roof sides meet at the peak. Let this set for three to four minutes.
  • 6. Now, let your child put some of the edible grass into the bottom of each chick house that you’ve made. Set a peep chick in each one.
  • 7. Add a couple of Easter candy eggs around on the grass inside each chicken house.
